We believe that Community Pharmacy is at the forefront of Primary Care and that Community Pharmacists are being recognised as a vital part of the patient pathway. The future of pharmacy depends on the passion and dedication of the next generation of Pharmacists, and it is essential that we support and encourage them as they begin their careers.

The next generation of pharmacists are highly trained and knowledgeable professionals who are equipped to provide a wide range of services to their patients. They are dedicated to promoting health and wellness, and they are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of the people they serve.

One of the most exciting developments in the field of Community Pharmacy is the increasing role that pharmacists are playing in providing direct patient care, helping to ease the pressure on General Practice and Secondary Care.  Community Pharmacists are now able to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from common colds and flu to chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension as well as managing and coordinating patient care. 

Day Lewis continues to work closely with a number of Pharmacy Schools, and has assisted in restructuring the Pharmacy degree course to allow students to gain more hands on experience of the role of a Community Pharmacist, including paid work placements and the opportunity to be directly involved in the winter vaccination programme. These are just a few examples of how we are committed to supporting the next generation of pharmacists and promoting the future of pharmacy.
