June 2019 Registration Assessment Feedback
On Tuesday 16 th July, the British Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (BPSA) President Regan McCahill and the BPSA Graduate Officer, Jessica Watt attended a meeting with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) to present the Registration Assessment Feedback Report for the June 2019 sitting.
The attendees from the GPhC included Damian Day – Head of Education, Lisa Smith – Professional Examination Manager and Joe James – Policy Officer.
In the meeting, representatives from the GPhC and the BPSA discussed each of the recommendations made in the report composed by the BPSA. The recommendations made by the BPSA will also be discussed internally at the GPhC Board of Assessors meetings. Having spoken to the GPhC regarding the discussion points raised during the meeting, the Presidentvand Graduate Officer feel confident that the regulator will take the recommendations seriously, providing evidence where necessary to demonstrate that they have met the recommendations, or provide a response to recommendations raised in the report. Collectively we have worked in the best interest of the candidates that sat the examination to ensure that they sat a fair and appropriate assessment and will continue to work on behalf of our members to ensure recommendations are worked on.
