Getting to Swansea

TRAINS
Swansea is well-connected to major cities across the UK via the train network. The nearest and most accessible train station is Swansea Railway Station (SA1 1NU), located in the city centre. Direct services run regularly from London Paddington, Cardiff, Bristol, and Manchester, making it easy to reach Swansea by rail.

COACHES
Traveling by coach can be a convenient and cost-effective way to reach Swansea!

National Express and Megabus operate regular services to Swansea from various parts of the UK. The closest bus station is Swansea Bus Station, located on Plymouth Road (SA1 3QQ), just a short walk from the city centre and Swansea University’s Singleton Park Campus.

PLANE
While Swansea does not have its own airport, the nearest major airports are Cardiff Airport (approximately 45 miles away) and Bristol Airport (approximately 80 miles away). Both airports offer excellent transport links to Swansea via train, coach, or car.

  • Cardiff Airport: Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes by car or 2 hours by public transport.

  • Bristol Airport: Approximately 2 hours by car or 3 hours by public transport.

CAR
If you’re driving to Swansea, you can navigate using the following addresses:

Car parking is available on both campuses, with daily rates typically ranging from £5 to £10. In the city centre, car parks are plentiful, with prices ranging from £6 to £12 per day, all within walking distance of key locations.
